Albert John Dahab passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022 at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ at the age of 93. He was born and lived in Paterson before eventually moving his family to Woodland Park. He was the owner/operator of Dahab’s Television and Repair Services for 54 years until his retirement in 1999. Al was extremely respected in his field for his electronic expertise beginning in vacuum tube Radio and forward through solid state Television.
He was the President of the John Victor Machuga Foundation since inception and was immensely proud to serve in this position. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and a good cigar and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
He dutifully served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.
Al is survived by his wife Georgina (Balady) of 71 years. He is also survived by his beloved three children, Sam Dahab, Georgene and her husband Dr. Eugene Wawrzyniak, along with Albert Dahab and his wife Christine. He is the dear grandfather of Marissa Wawrzyniak Knight (husband Dr. J. Matthew Knight) and Dr. Jenny Wawrzyniak Adams . He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren; James Davis Knight, Michael Adams, Elias Knight, Emily Adams and Evan Knight.
Albert is predeceased by his twin sister Gloria Dahab, brother George Dahab and sister Alice Hallock.
Albert was a lifelong member of St. Ann’s Melkite Church in Woodland Park, NJ. There will be a private burial service at Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Totowa, NJ with a memorial service to follow at a later date at St. Ann’s Church in Woodland Park , NJ.
