Obituary

George Batikha, age 28, is the beloved son of Abboud and Lena Batikha. Cherished brother to Edmond, Charles and Lyndsay Batikha, and Ziad and Jackie Baroody. Adored uncle to Elie and Matthew Baroody and Charles John Batikha. He passed away on May 13th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, he grew up in Glen Ridge, NJ where he made lifelong friends who love him to this day. He was an all-star football player and received a scholarship to play as a DII wide receiver. George later valiantly fought a terminal illness, later moving to Totowa, NJ with his family. He grew up in the Melkite Catholic Church of St. Ann in Woodland Park. He was a skilled and creative jeweler, making prized custom pieces for clients in the music industry. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Ann Melkite Church, 802 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park, NJ on Monday, May 16th from 3-8pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Ann Melkite Church on Tuesday, May 17th at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Mausoleum, Totowa, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in George’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
