Mary Louise Barbary

Mary Louise Barbary, 96, lifelong resident of Paterson, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2022. 

Born on July 8,1926 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of Costacky and Negla Samra Barbary. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Alice and Annie and brothers, Anthony and George. Mary is survived by her many cousins and generations of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. 

Mary was a loyal, devout member of St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church of Woodland Park, NJ. She was employed by the Paterson Textile Mills for many years until she left to take care of her family. She was a generous, kind, and loving caregiver to all of her family members and friends. Mary loved to cook and entertained with style. Among the many signature dishes and baked goods she perfected, she was particularly proud of her ka’ek and banana bread. 

Funeral services will be held at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church. Viewings will be on Tuesday, August 9 from 3:00-6:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 10 from 10:00 -11:00 AM followed by a funeral service in the church. Interment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
