Obituary

Our beloved, Naji Homsi, 64 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21st, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.
Naji is deeply missed and survived by his loving wife Milva Homsi (Kalaeyjian); and his three sons Matthew, Christopher, and Thomas. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his siblings Riad, Margaret, Janet, and Ralda.


Naji was born on July 7th 1958 in Damascus, Syria to the late Jamil and Madeleine Homsi. He was the second youngest of five siblings. He completed his primary school in both Lebanon and Syria. He then immigrated to the United States in 1979, choosing to settle down in the city of Paterson, NJ. At this time and while working he attended Montclair state college to study business administration.


Over the course of the next 30 years he established numerous businesses and invested in real estate throughout the state of New Jersey and Florida. In 1995 Naji was awarded entrepreneur of the year, he also played a prime role in the signing of the urban enterprise bill which enabled state governor Floria and other elected officials to create 11 new enterprise zones throughout the state. He was later appointed a seat on the State of New Jersey Chamber of Commerce for his efforts

February 10th, 1989 was the date on which he finally married the woman of his dreams, Milva. Over the next few years he would come to welcome his three beautiful boys into the world.
His three children were the light of his life. Naji was selfless when it came to his family. He spent his life fulfilling his self proclaimed duty, which was for his children to have the life he never had and to present unlimited opportunities before them. Throughout the years Naji instilled in them the principles of family values, honesty and hard work.


Naji passed away leaving behind this legacy of love and hard work that will be forever remembered by his loving wife, beloved children, his immediate and extended family and his friends.
He was admired by all and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


Visitation will be held Friday, January 27th from 4pm-9pm, the funeral will be held Saturday, January 28th, service starts at 9:30 am. Both the visitation and funeral will be held at St. Ann's Melkite Catholic church in Woodland Park, NJ.
