Sabeh Kachouh Obituary

In loving memory of Sabeh Kachouh it is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing. Sabeh was a devoted husband, father, and a cherished member of our community. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and sacrifices for the betterment of his family.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Sabeh embarked on a new chapter in his life when he immigrated to New York City in the early seventies. In the bustling streets of the Big Apple, Sabeh found his passion and purpose. He established and operated the renowned Lebanese restaurant, Byblos restaurant, which quickly became a beloved gathering place for the Lebanese community.

Sabeh's dedication and culinary skills turned Byblos into more than just a restaurant—it became a home away from home for many.

Sabeh's love extended beyond his restaurant; it embraced his family with open arms. He was lifetime partner to his beloved wife, Sonia and a loving father to his daughters Karen,Diane, and his son Roy. Sabeh is also survived by his sister Nouhad Kachouh who loves him deeply. Sabeh's role as a father figure also extended to his son-in-law, Dany and Rabih, and his daughter in law Dalia, whom he embraced as his own. Sabeh leaves behind 6 grandchildren Danny Hasbani, Rianna Hasbani, Christopher Younes, Talia Younes, Anthony Kachouh, Alexander Kachouh.

Sabeh will forever be remembered for his big heart, his generosity, relentless work ethic, sacrifice for family, and his ability to bring people together through the power of food and hospitality. His legacy will live on in the memories of those he touched and the lives he enriched.

As we mourn the loss of Sabeh, let us celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the impact he made on all of us. His memory will remain etched in our hearts forever. May his soul find eternal peace.
